Pheasants Forever Calgary actively and proudly supports youth education and hunter mentorship programs that encourage and establishes conservation ethics, responsible sportsmanship and an appreciation for wildlife and habitat conservation.

Such programs include our annual Postsecondary First Pheasant Hunt and our partnership event Youth/Novice Shoot in association with the Alberta Hunter Education Instructors’ Association and Mentor Hunt programs.

Each year Pheasants Forever Calgary also provides a $1500 award for a full-time student continuing on from year one to year two or from year three to year four in a School of Environmental Sciences program at Lethbridge Polytechnic. It is awarded to a student who demonstrates academic achievement and volunteerism in their community.
